Team Sky’s Geraint Thomas rode away from a scary crash near the end of Stage 16 Monday during the Tour de France. Warren Barguil took a very aggressive line into a corner, colliding with Thomas and sending the rider off the road.

Thomas made contact with a pole located just a few feet off the road, but was able to recover and finish the stage.
